Simone de Waart

Simone de Waart has a background in industrial design and design management. She is creative director in the company Material Sense, a platform that connects design, research and industry to enhance materials innovation and new materials applications. She works for industries and institutes to create value from the use of materials, by research, design, training, workshops, exhibitions and publications. Besides the work for the company she works as a professor at the Technical University of Eindhoven and at the Design Academy Eindhoven where she coaches bachelors and masters in industrial design. She also lecturers materials in design as guest lecturer at Art and Design Academies nationally and internationally.
