Crafting the Future with Anouk Wipprecht

If you have a special interest in wearable technology or a natural curiosity about everything that relates to funky clothing and technology, the ‘Crafting the Future’ theme is perfectly tailored to your interests.

We are very pleased to announce that Anouk Wipprecht, the talented young artist relentlessly pushing the boundaries of wearable technology, will take part in the ‘Crafting the Future’ debate during DEAF 2012.

Anouk and the other artists involved will be asked to discuss the relevance of wearable technology to their fields of expertise and elaborate on the role of craft in their daily practice. Syuzi Pakhchyan, an expert in the field of DIY technology, will moderate the discussion. To spice up the debate you will be invited to participate and provide us with your opinion and ideas.

Anouk Wipprecht is best known for her work on Intimacy Black, Pseudomorphs, DareDroid (cocktail making robot dress), and created the outfit for Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie for her Super Bowl XLV performance.
